Make a Writing Center Appointment for a personalized tutoring session about any type of academic material in English. For example, bring your PPT, written work, or other project to practice a presentation and receive feedback on pronunciation, word choice, grammar, and speaking rhythm. We can also provide assistance on scholarship applications written in English for educational and research programs. Like all Fulbright services, it's completely free!

Maddy Hull (Dickinson College) has a degree in Anthropology and Spanish. She has experience in bioarchaeology, human evolution, museum education, foreign language learning, and social sciences. From 2021-2024, she was a docent at the Trout Gallery, where she led tours for Spanish language students. For the past two summers, she has supported the Koobi Fora Research Project in human evolution research as a research assistant in the Turkana Basin (Kenya). Maddy enjoys public speaking projects and loves reading in her spare time.

Alexis is a policy researcher and aspiring attorney from Los Angeles, California. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, with minors in Migration Studies, Latino/a Studies, and Law. For the past two years, she worked as a researcher at the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, D.C., focusing on immigration and integration policies. She also has experience working in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. While she is happy to assist with academic coursework, Alexis particularly enjoys helping students prepare for class presentations, interviews, applications, and other professional opportunities. In her free time, you can catch her taking salsa classes, surfing, and reconnecting with her Canarian roots!
You can also find her at her office on Campus Guajara in the Facultad de Derecho! It is the Sala de Reuniones de Decanto on Planta Primera. She is typically there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Chelsea is a writer, teacher, and ghost enthusiast from Jersey City, New Jersey. She has a BA in English and Cinema with a minor in Visual Arts from Rutgers University and an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University. She was a 2022 Cheuse Center MFA Travel Fellow, visiting South America to research cultural legends, and served as the Incarcerated Writers Coordinator at Phoebe Journal, providing writing feedback to those affected by the U.S. prison system. Chelsea is interested in English literature, composition, creative writing and genre fiction, folklore, arts and culture, and applying for opportunities in creative fields. While she can be helpful discussing academics and life in the arts, she would also love talking about crafting, ghosts, music, hobbies, and film.
