Innovative Teaching Education in Mathematics (iTEM) consortium involve mathematicians, physicists, engineers educators that look for improving the mathematics learning in the first courses at the university degree.

The iTEM symposium "Innovation on Teaching Mathematics at High Education Institutions: Experiences on classrooms" aims to meet together all the partners and collaborators who have been carrying out the tasks foreseen in this project and to present the main results. Also, the symposium will be the place where we can exchange ideas that may be useful for adding to the experiences already implemented by other partners.

There will also be a practical workshop on working with mathematics using the GeoGebra tool for mathematics classess at university levels.

The syposium will take place ath University of La Laguna (ULL), which is the oldest institution of higher education in the Canary Islands, and started 200 years ago. It was founded by King Charles IV of Spain, the 11th March 1792. Since that date, it has undergone changes and been known by different names until finally being given its current name in 1913.
