As Director of the ACAPS Research Centre at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, I lead and coordinate advanced research in computer architecture, intelligent systems, and emerging computing technologies. My work focuses on fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, guiding PhD and master’s research, and advancing innovation in areas such as high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and energy-efficient systems.
The ACAPS Research Centre (Advanced Computer Architecture and Processing Systems) is a research center within Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu focused on advanced computing technologies and intelligent information systems.
ACAPS is dedicated to the research and development of innovative computing architectures and systems, emphasizing efficiency, intelligent behavior, and multi-objective optimization (such as performance and energy consumption). Its work spans key areas including high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, data mining, computer vision, embedded systems, IoT, and modeling and simulation.
The center promotes interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and strong integration between academia and industry, while also supporting master’s and doctoral education by involving students in cutting-edge research projects.
