Berivan Özlem Gümüs- PhD student

Berivan Ozlem Gumus is a currently PhD student supported by Santiago Grisolía program at Jaume I University. Her dissertation research focuses on  identification of genetic traits important in the regulation of the response of plants to phytophagous spider mites under climate change scenario. She holds a bachelor’s in biology/majored in molecular biology and genetics from Ege University, Turkey in 2018. While pursuing her MSc in 2020, she worked as an Erasmus+ trainee for three months at the Dietz Lab at Bielefeld University in Germany on high light stress responses of plants. In 2021, earned her master’s degree in biology from Ege University at Turkan Lab where her thesis research focused on the role of CLE peptides in response to endoplasmic reticulum stress in Arabidopsis.
