The Simposium Perancangan Madani (SIMPONI) is an academic and professional platform that gathers students, lecturers, researchers, and industry practitioners in the built environment field from both local and international backgrounds. To strengthen the symposium's role as a vessel for generating high-impact ideas, a Master Plan Design Competition, URBANOVA, is proposed as a key programme for SIMPONI 2026. This initiative is an idea-based competition that evaluates participants' ability to produce comprehensive, innovative, and contextual master plan proposals by adapting, critically analysing, and improving existing master plans.
