CREAFTA for Postgraduate Studies

CREAFTA is a creative research and innovation platform within the Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation (FiTA) UiTM that supports postgraduate scholars in advancing practice-based and interdisciplinary research across film, theatre, and animation. The initiative provides a collaborative environment where postgraduate students engage in experimental storytelling, digital media innovation, and performance-based inquiry while integrating theoretical and artistic methodologies.

Through CREAFTA, postgraduate candidates are encouraged to develop original creative outputs such as films, performances, interactive media, and animated works alongside rigorous academic research. The platform also fosters mentorship, industry engagement, and knowledge dissemination through exhibitions, screenings, publications, and research presentations.

By bridging creative practice and scholarly investigation, CREAFTA strengthens FiTA’s postgraduate ecosystem and contributes to the development of innovative narratives, cultural heritage exploration, and emerging media practices within Malaysia’s creative industries.
