Brief History

Pharmacy department at Hospital UiTM had a humble beginning all the way back in 2010; when the first Faculty of Medicine, UiTM was established. The first pharmacy under Faculty of Medicine, UiTM operated at the designated Faculty of Medicine campus in Selayang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. In the beginning, the pharmacy department was only manned by a pharmacist and 2 pharmacist's assistants.

Then, in 2011, we witnessed the newly operation of Faculty of Medicine, UiTM at a full-fledged Sungai Buloh Campus. This campus, which is also known as Clinical Teaching Centre (CTC) among UiTM staffs, is equipped with both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy; catering around 100-200 outpatients daily and up to 100 patients in the wards.

In the year of 2021, the new Hospital UiTM at Puncak Alam was ready for operation, with a much larger pharmacy department and total number of beds. Henceforth, the total number of staffs at the pharmacy department currently stands at 80; which will continue to grow in the years to come.
