Duration:

Full Time – 3 Semesters (1½ years)

Part Time – 4 to 8 Semesters (2 to 4 years)

Location:

College of Creative Arts, UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor

All postgraduate research candidates are required to attend the Research Seminar course organized by the Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS). Upon fulfilling these requirements, candidates will defend their proposal at IGS, before submitting a written thesis for examination at the end of their studies.

This program is a research-based program that focuses on research and thesis writing. Throughout the study, students will be guided by an appointed advisor chosen from among the academic staff of the College of Creative Arts based on his or her field of expertise in relation to the student’s research topic. Areas of study include aspects of art and design, ranging from historical, cultural, design thinking, and technological advancement.

The Ph.D. program focuses on in-depth research and dissertation writing within the area of art and design. The range of study is depending on the candidates’ areas of expertise and interest that are related to the contribution of knowledge in art and design.
