Sarawak Invention, Innovation & Design Exposition (SIIDEx) 2026 is the fifth SIIDEx to be organised by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak Branch. This SIIDEx 2026 is jointly organised with UiTM Penang Branch. SIIDEx 2026 will take place on 14 September 2026 at the Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.   It is a major innovation competition established to foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and commercialisation of knowledge among researchers, educators, students, and industry practitioners. Through SIIDEx, an exhibition of innovative and inventive products can be displayed to the public and contested. The product exhibition competition offers participants the opportunity to win an award recognised by the university and to use the platform to communicate with industry and academic participants

3rd September 2026 — The Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak, successfully conducted CGS@JKDM at Wisma Kastam, engaging 105 staff members of Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (JKDM). The programme, is part of the CGS Beyond Campus initiative, provided a platform for CGS to introduce postgraduate education opportunities, academic programmes and professional development pathways to JKDM personnel. Thanks to the JKDM Sarawak for their hospitality, especially Mdm Kho Soo Chin, from Corporate and Training Unit and her Corporate & Training  Staff in facilitating this programme.

2nd September 2026 —Held under the CGS Beyond Campus initiative, the engagement provided an opportunity for CGS to share information on postgraduate programmes, further education opportunities and professional development pathways with MACC personnel. The Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak, successfully conducted CGS@MACC at the Kompleks Pejabat Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM), engaging 15 staff members of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). Thanks to MACC Sarawak for their hospitality, especially to Mdm Maini William for her help to make this program happen. 

29th August 2026 — The Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak, successfully conducted CGS@JPJ at Kompleks JPJ, engaging 15 staff members of Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ). The initiative reflects CGS’s commitment to extending postgraduate education beyond the university campus and making educational opportunities more accessible to working professionals. The participation of JPJ staff highlights the importance of lifelong learning and continuous professional development in supporting career growth, knowledge enhancement and organisational excellence.

On the 20th August 2026, CGS and ICEPS UiTM Cawangan Sarawak have initiated a meeting with the Royal Malaysian Customs Department at Wisma Kastam, Petrajaya. This fruitful discussion open a new collaboration and further network to provide information and avenue to pursue undergraduate &  postgraduate studies. A well planned events will be carried out in the near future.  

It is an honour to be able to share our programmes's and sharing session on postgraduate journey  to the staf from The Royal Malaysian Police, at IPK Kuching  on the 29th July 2026. It is is one of the ongoing effort to engage and promote lifelong learning among Royal Malaysia Police Staffs. This session lead by Dr Johari Abdullah, and also feauturing Dr Azlina Bujang  delivered a talk on ICEPS programmes offered at UiTM Cawangan Sarawak. 

It is a honor to share our posgtraduate programmes and alongside with ICEPs team at Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authgority (SALCRA) Headquaters in Samarahan on the 23rd July 2026. This invitation is in conjunction with "Invest in  You: Higher Education Opportunities Showcase" programme. It has open opportunity for both UiTM and SALCRA to instil further interest to pursue lifelong learning among SALCRA's management and Staff. This event was attended by Dr Yong Sze Wei, AAGBS Coordinator togther with Dr Azlina Bujang, from ICEPS. Thanks to SALCRA for the invitation, we look forward for more collaborations. 

Kembara Sarjana e-Pursuit (Borneo Zone) 2026 Programme was successfully held on the 30th June 2026. This programme was specifically organised to provide informations  and a clearer understanding of the postgraduate study journey at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Conducted as hybrid event, it has recorded an encouraging turnout, with a total participation of 556 attendees, comprising 350 participants at Dewan Jubli, 92 participants at PTAR, and 114 participants joining virtually. Thanks to all faculties involved especially Deputy Rector of Academic & International Affairs and  all the Head of Centre of Studies for all the supports. Not to forget IPSis team lead by Dr Asiyah Kassim which has delivered insipiring and fruitful session.

A sharing Session  especially for Federal office Staff at Mukah  was held on the 14th May 2026. This is in conjuction with sharing session for UiTM Cawangan Sarawak Mukah campus on the next day.  This sharing session encourage lifelong learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These two days event was also attended by ICEPS representative, Mdm Joyceline and Coordinator  from Faculty of Business and Management, Dr Yusman Yacob.  

As an annual events, CGS consistently supporting Ekspo Selangkah Ke UiTM (ESKU) 2026. CGS participated for this two-days event on the 4th & 5th of April 2026.  Our AAGBS Coordinators, Dr Yong Sze Wei, Coordinator for Postgraduate Programme, Ts Sr. Dr Sylvia and our Media and Promotion Coordinator, Mr Rudy Ujang along with our interns (Azram and Alexander), have provided informative and comprehensive consultation to the prospects in pursuing their postgraduate studies. Thanks to main organiser for the invitation! 

Sharing Session on Postgraduate Programmes Offered at UiTM Cawangan Sarawak. CGS UiTM Cawangan Sarawak has successfully conducted a postgraduate programmes sharing session at Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS) on 24th February 2026. The session was led by Dr. Johari Abdullah, Head of the Centre of Graduate Studies and was assisted by Dr. Yong Sze Wei, AAGBS Programmes Coordinator alongside Mr. Rudy Ujang, Coordiator of Promotion and Media.  Their expertise and guidance enriched the discussion, providing participants with a deeper understanding of postgraduate opportunities and academic pathways.

It is an honour to come again this year to SEDC as part of ongoing effort to promote lifelong learning. This time with hybrid approach, over 120 SEDC staff participated on the 5th February 2026. It was a fruitful event and offers insight to pursue postgraduate studies with UiTM.  Thanks to SEDC's top management especially Tn Hj. Awang Nasfuddin Hj. Awang Hassan, Head of  Group Human Capital and  En. Nikk Adam Hj. Abdillah Kipalli, Head of Regional Development and Planning for their time and support for this program . It also great to see our Alumni during the session and look forward to welcome them in  the next level of their academic journey. 

Sharing Session  Postgraduate Study Opportunities in UiTM Sarawak was successfully organised in collaboration with Faculty of Built Environment and various Industry Partners  on 10th January  2026.  The session was held in conjunction with Builders Homecoming Night at The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching. Sharing session was delivered by  Dr. Johari Abdullah, Head of the Centre of Graduate Studies attended by 200 distinguised guests and ALUMNI of Diploma in Building, UiTM Cawangan Sarawak.
