On 31st July 2025, at the Riverside Majestic Hotel, Astana Wing, Kuching, the Centre for Graduate Studies team, together with the Rector of UiTM Sarawak Campus, YBrs. Professor Dr. Firdaus was graciously invited by YBrs. Professor Dr. Norzanah Mat Nor, Dean of Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS), to receive the symbolic presentation of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation certificate for our MBA and DBA programs.
The Promotion Event on Postgraduate Study Opportunities in UiTM Sarawak was successfully organized in collaboration with LHDN, Kuching on 30th July 2025. The session was led by Dr. Johari Abdullah, Head of the Centre of Graduate Studies and was assisted by Ts. Dr. Sylvia Gala, Research Programmes Coordinator, Centre of Graduate Studies alongside with our intern Fiona Malvina. Their expertise and guidance enriched the discussion, providing participants with a deeper understanding of postgraduate opportunities and academic pathways.
UiTM POSTGRADUATE BOOTH @ LARIAN MAPPA XX 2025
The Centre for Graduate Studies was proud to take part in Larian MAPPA XX 2025, held on 6 July 2025 at Dataran MBKS. It was a great opportunity to connect with the public and promote postgraduate study opportunities offered by UiTM Sarawak Branch. The event was participated by Dr. Johari Abdullah (Head of the Centre for Graduate Studies) and Dr. Yong Sze Wei (AAGBS Coordinator, Centre for Graduate Studies).
POSTGRADUATE OUTREACH @ SIMUNJAN 2025
The Centre for Graduate Studies had a wonderful time participating in the Simunjan Outreach Program 2025, held on 5 July at Padang Sentral Simunjan. The event was participated by Ts. Dr. Sylvia Gala Anak Mong (Research Programmes Coordinator) alongside with our interns, Chelsea Chrystal and Fiona Malvina. It was a great opportunity for us to engage with the local community by setting up a booth to share information about our postgraduate programmes, scholarships, and study opportunities available.

Postgraduate Gawai Raya Dinner with our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Firdaus Abdullah, on the evening of 28th June was truly a night to remember filled with laughter, unity, and celebration. The celebration was made even more meaningful as we proudly honored the recipients of the Anugerah Pascasiswazah Fakulti (APF) for Semester 20242 & 20244. A team from the Centre of Graduate Studies (CGS), led by Dr. Johari bin Abdullah (Head of CGS) and Dr. Yong Sze Wei (Coordinator, AAGBS), recently visited Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) to promote the university's diverse postgraduate programs.

On 28 May, the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), UiTM, led by Dr Johari Abdullah (Head of CGS), Dr Yong Sze Wei (Coordinator of CGS), and Ts. Dr Sylvia Gala Mong, visited the Sarawak State Secretary’s Office for a fruitful engagement session. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr Intan Rahmah (Senior Principal Assistant Director) and her team members, Dyg Nurli Azwani Binti Awang Anwa and Nurfaizah Binti Mohammad Haslan. Dr Johari presented an overview of UiTM’s dynamic postgraduate programs, followed by a productive discussion on potential strategic collaborations between UiTM and the Sarawak State Secretary's Office to advance talent development and public sector excellence.
CGS@MAYBANK
The Centre of Graduate Studies (CGS), UiTM Sarawak, continued its strategic industry engagement initiatives to promote postgraduate programmes to the Maybank regional office staffs in Kuching on 22 May 2025. The session, held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and was led by Dr. Johari bin Abdullah, Head of Centre, accompanied by Dr. Sylvia, our Research Programme Coordinator.
Centre of Graduate Studies (CGS) UiTM Sarawak Branch had visited PERKESO Kuching office on the 15th April 2025 (Tuesday). This visit was led by the Head of Centre, Dr. Johari bin Abdullah, accompanied by Dr. Yong Sze Wei, the Coordinator of Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS). The main objective was to promote UiTM’s postgraduate programs, including the MBA, DBA, EMAS, and various research-based programs offered at UiTM Sarawak Branch.
CGS team under the lead of KPPs, Dr Johari Abdullah, had a meeting with the Director of Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Ir. Ts. Gr.Br. PMr. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris, at the Director's Office of JKR on March 5, 2025. CGS held a constructive and collaborative meeting with JKR management team today, mainly promoting the MBA (Master of Business Administration) and DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) programs, as well as relevant research programs to fulfil the needs JKR’s workforces.
The Promotion Event on Postgraduate Study Opportunities in UiTM Sarawak was successfully organised in collaboration with Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) Kuching on 10th February 2025. The session attracted more than 50 participants, both physically and online. The event provided valuable insights into postgraduate education pathways, scholarship opportunities, and career advancements, fostering meaningful engagement among attendees.
KEMBARA SARJANA E-PURSUIT
On 20 May 2025(Tuesday), a meaningful and informative session was held in collaboration between the Centre of Graduate Studies UiTM Sarawak and IPSis Shah Alam, taking place at Dewan Jubli, UiTM Campus 1 and PTAR Library, Campus 2. This session attend by 602 students (420 onsite and 182 online). Dr. Asiyah binti Kassim from IPSis Shah Alam delivered an informative session especially tailored for final-year students, focusing on equipping them with a deeper understanding of postgraduate opportunities and academic pathways. The event provided a valuable platform for students to explore their future academic options and gain insightful guidance for life after graduation. It was truly an enriching experience for all involved.

Jom Masuk U 2025-Zon Sarawak
We had a great time at Jom Masuk U (JMU 2025), organized by Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia, held at Mydin Vista Tunku, Kuching on 3 & 4 May! From 8am to 6pm, our team—Dr. Johari bin Abdullah (Head of CGS) and Dr. Yong Sze Wei (Coordinator, AAGBS) was on-site to share all about our exciting Postgraduate programs. We’re thrilled with the positive response and interest shown by the public!
