Overview

ACADEMIC INFO is a one-stop information centre for the students and lecturers to find the Open & Distance Learning (ODL) and academic affairs resources throughout the semester. This webpage is hopefully can help the students and lecturers to help themselves by making resources easily accessible.


Quick Facts

  • 5 foundation programmes and 48 courses are currently offered at the UiTM Centre of Foundation Studies. All programmes are accredited and recognized by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).

  • 147 student groups & 147 academic advisors (mentors).

  • ODL Platforms: Google Classroom + Google Meet & UFUTURE

  • Academic Calendar: 14 weeks of scheduled lectures, 1 week for mid semester test, 1 week for mid semester break, 1 week for revision and 2 weeks for final assessment/examination.

  • UiTM Dengkil Campus: 5 minutes form Cyberjaya & 7 minutes from Putrajaya.

2.5 Academic Affairs Division (BHEA) Officers & Contact

  • Students can contact Academic Affairs Division to get information and clarification regarding course registration, assessment and examination, timetable, students academic record, academic cycles, academic activities and teaching & learning facilities. Students can also contact us to make a complaint or lodge a report (with evidence) that is related to academic affairs.

4.3 Academic Advisor

  • To get into the Mentor-Mentee WhatsApp Group, students are required to click the link according to the student group given in the Student Group & Academic Advisor (Mentor-Mentee) List.

  • Mentor-Mentee meetings are scheduled 2 times for this semester i.e. on 3 September 2021 & 29 October 2021. Students will be given co-curriculum marks for the participation in the meetings.

6.2 Assessment Schedule

  • KPP and Resource Person must plan the assessment dates and submission deadlines in the Assessment Schedule to help students to organize the studies systematically, and help lecturers to organize the delivery and assessment effectively.

6.3 Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Approaches

  • The ODL will be delivered via two approaches - Asynchronous Learning & Synchronous Learning.


  • For Asynchronous Learning, lecturer will provide pre-recorded video lectures and course materials e.g lecture notes, important references, etc. in Google Classroom and UFUTURE. So, the students can refer to the materials at anytime allowing them to have flexible learning.


  • For Synchronous Learning, teaching & learning activities will be delivered via an online meeting platform i.e. Google Meet where the lecturer and students can interact with each other, have two-ways communication and make a live discussion in real-time.


  • Teaching & Learning activities can also be in the form of forum discussion via Google Classroom and UFUTURE, pop quiz, lecturer responding to the student questions, or/and commenting on student answers. Student must also participate actively during the teaching & learning activity sessions.


6.4 Course Assessment Plan/Parameters (CAP)

  • Resource Person must update the Course Assessment Plan/Parameters (CAP) for this semester and must be approved by JAP. Lecturers must communicate the CAP to the students.

  • Resource Person must update the approved CAP in AIMS system. The parameters will then be automatically updated in eRES System.
