Welcome to the Cuellar Library

Our library is open to our students during the school day through regular scheduled library classes or the circulation plan. Virtual Library Nights will be announced on school calendars and will have live reading session for one hour after 4 pm. On library nights, the Accelerated Reader program is open for at home testing from 4-6 pm.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our school library offers special curbside circulation. Please see our Print Book Request page or use Class Dojo for curbside checkout. We are only allowing curbside drop off/pick up library books by the front foyer on Fridays. Books requested may see a delay in order processing. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Personal Mission Statement

I will focus on improving the present version of myself and all my students. I will utilize my past experiences to grow, but not dwell on them. I will not worry about the future, and instead have faith. I will Just Do IT… I have it in me.

About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Texas A & M International University (TAMIU) in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, and Sam Houston State University SHSU in 2013 with a Master's of Library Science. I obtained a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Design Systems and Technology at SHSU in 2022. I completed a Principal Professional Certificate from TAMIU in 2023. I am also Adjunct Faculty for the College of Education in Educational Technology, at Texas A&M International University.

Degrees and Certifications:

I hold a Texas Educator Certificate in Early Childhood through 6th Grade - Bilingual, a Library Media Specialist Certification Early Childhood - 12th, and a Principal as Instructional Leader Certification Early Childhood - 12th. I have been with UISD for 12 years, and an Instructional Technology Teacher for 9 years. I also have coached High School JV and Freshman Volleyball teams at JB Alexander High School.
