I-TELL removed the financial barriers that may have prevented educators from completing graduate coursework to earn English as a New Language (ENL) licensure, helping schools fill roles for Teachers of Record and increasing the pipeline of qualified ENL teachers across the state.
Through an innovative model, I-TELL funded the tuition, books, and material fees directly to participating universities, removing out-of-pocket costs for teachers and schools.
The following were available through I-TELL:
Financial support for tuition, books, and material fees for current educators to complete licensure coursework
Test preparation assistance for individuals who had completed an ENL preparation program but had not obtained a passing PRAXIS score.
