Cast and Design Team Bios
Rachel Luann Strayer is an internationally produced playwright with an MFA from Wilkes University. Prior to this production, Drowning Ophelia has been performed in San Francisco, Scranton, Philadelphia, and Moscow (Idaho) and was just published this year by Blue Moon Plays. Her other full-length plays include The Poe Asylum (Scranton Fringe Festival, Keystone College); Songbird (Bechdel Group Reading, Premiere Stages Finalist/Reading); The Last Daughter (2020 Jane Chambers Playwriting Award Finalist); and A Decameron for the Apocalypse(McAllen High School). Rachel currently resides in Lancaster, PA.

Audrey Panyard is a Junior theatre major with a performance/directing concentration from Westfield, Indiana. Her UIndy performance credit includes Amy in Dry Land (a part of the 2018-19 Student-Directed Productions), and Margaret in Woyzeck (2018). Audrey’s UIndy technology credits include electrics crew for The Mousetrap and It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play. Audrey is a member of the International Thespian Society.
Nicholas Cage Finch is a sophomore theatre major with a performance/directing concentration from Shelbyville, Indiana. His UIndy performance credits include Mr. Daldry in In the Next Room (2020), Herr Schultz in Cabaret (2019), Ernie/Harry Bailey/et al in It's A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play (2018), Detective Trotter in The Mousetrap (2018), and Jerry in The Zoo Story. His UIndy technical credits include Nicholas' other performance credits include Von Sochocky/Markley/ Venecine Salesman/Shop owner/Dr. Drinker/ Bailey in Radium Girls and Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, both at Shelby County Players.

Jill Wooster is a Junior theatre major with a music minor from Indianapolis. Her UIndy technology/design credits include light-board operator for Kill Moves Paradise (2021), wardrobe supervisor for the 2020-21 Student-Directed Productions and In the Next Room: Or The Vibrator Play, electrics crew for The Mousetrap (2019), and paint crew for Cabaret (2019), Costume, Hair and Makeup Designer for the 2018-19 Student-Directed Productions (2019). Jill’s UIndy performance credit includes Young Violet Bick/Janie Bailey/Reporter in It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play. Her other performance credits include Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and chorus in Drowsy Chaperone both at Footlite Musicals.

As part of the 2021 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival #53 [(Region III) 2021], Kathryn was cast as Guidance Counselor in Bathroom Tags a part of the National Playwrighting Program.

Kit Searcy (She/They) is a freshman theatre and criminal justice major from Fishers, Indiana. Her UIndy performance credit includes Ensemble in The War of The Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script (2020). Kit's UIndy technologies/design credits include electrics crew for Kill Move Paradise (2021), and assistant stage manager for The War of The Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script (2020). While attending Heritage Christian School, some of her technology/design credits included fight coordinator/set builder/prop team leader/stage manager for Fiddler on the Roof, and Twelve Angry Jurors, assistant stage manager/set builder for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and fight coordinator/graphic designer/set builder/weapons coordinator for Twelfth Night. Her performance credit while attending Heritage Christian School included Officer Two in Twelfth Night.

Elizabeth Enderle is a freshman music performance major with a concentration in voice and a dual minor in theatre and applied Spanish from Westfield, Indiana. Her UIndy performance credits include Carla Phillips/Smith/Operator Four in The War of The Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script (2020). While attending Westfield High School, Elizabeth’s performance credits included Ensemble in Legally Blonde the Musical, The Great Gatsby, Les Miserables, and Shrek the Musical; and Mrs. Enright in The Inspector General and Miskin in Fools.

Kyle is a sophomore with a double major in theatre and communications with concentrations in performance/directing and Public Relations from Indianapolis. Kyle’s UIndy performance credits include Danny in Danny and the Deep Blue Sea (2019), “He” in Sibs (a part of the 2018–19 Student-Directed Productions), Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap (2019), and Luka in The Bear (2019). His UIndy technologies/design credits include assistant sound design for Cabaret (2019). Kyle’s other performance credits include Michael O’Brien in All The Best Jack at Great Oak Commons with Nova Theatre Company.
Shania Brown is a senior theatre major with a concentration in performance/directing from Bluffton, Indiana. Her UIndy performance credits include Mrs. Groton in He's Having A Baby (2021) (a part of the 2020-21 Student-Directed Productions), Angela in Natural Shocks (2020) (Shania's Senior Capstone), and Second Journeyman in Woyzeck (2018). Shania's UIndy technical credits include soundboard operator for In the Next Room (2020), assistant stage manager for Cabaret (2019), run crew for The Mousetrap (2019) and It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play (2018), electrics crew for I and You (2018), paint crew for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] (2018), scenic artist for the 2018-19 and 2017-18 Student Directed Productions, and costume crew for Frankenstein (2017).

Nicole Bentley is a sophomore Social Work major with a minor in Theatre from Shelbyville, Indiana. Her previous theatrical credits include Marie in Woyzeck with the University of Indianapolis, Anne Gilbreth in Cheaper By the Dozen with Shelbyville High School, as well as numerous credits with Shelby County Players, including Gloria in Boeing Boeing, Katherine Wiley in Radium Girls, and board operator for House at Pooh Corner and Murder Inn.
