Aspiring Educators

Aspiring Educators, or AE, is a University of Indianapolis chapter affiliated with the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) and the National Education Association (NEA). As a club, we seek to provide educational and professional development opportunities to students at UIndy while still including fun events for students to make crafts for their future classrooms. 

AE has participated in events across UIndy through collaborations with the Student Leadership Activities Board (SLAB), the Social Work Association (SWA), KDP, and guest speakers. Some of our notable events from the 2021-2022 school year include Black History in Education, PRAXIS & Pizza, the AE Holiday Party, Introduction to the Makerspace, and Elections & Flower Pot Decorating. While not all of these events are returning for the 2022-2023 school year, their concepts are being used to create more educational and interactive events.
