University of Illinois at Chicago
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois Chicago, specializing in the economics of education and applied microeconomics. My research examines how differences in teacher quality shape long-run student outcomes, using rich administrative data from Texas public schools. My job-market paper, “The Effect of Teacher Quality: A Mobility-Based Approach to Long-Run Student Outcomes in High School Algebra I,” uses a novel framework that leverages teacher movement between schools to estimate the causal impact of high school teacher quality on academic and later-life outcomes.
Beyond research, I am an experienced educator. My classroom practice integrates econometric precision with a deep commitment to equity and student discovery. In recognition of my teaching, I received the Mitch Kraske Award for Teaching Excellence.
