The extensor digitorum communs tendon has a complext structure, in correspondence to the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint which is divided into lateral bands, a central slip, and supported by elements such as triangular ligament (TL), transverse oblique ligament (TOL), and transverse relinacular ligament (TRL).
