Calumet Off The Grid: A New Delta was created in collaboration with Master of City Design and Master of Urban Planning and Policy students at UIC who worked with researchers and industry professionals to explore ecological planning and design solutions for the future of Calumet. Students also collaborated with the 9th Ward Offices, Historic Pullman Foundation, Calumet Industrial Area Commission, Pullman Civic Organization, Historic Pullman Empowerment Organization, and Rosemoor Community Association, as well as design partners – Design Workshop, Muse Community Design, and SOM.
The studio is generously supported by the UIC Institute for Policy and Civic Engagement and the new UIC Center for Climate and Health Equity (CECHE).
