About me

I love to teach! I was originally hired to teach a 4/5 multiage class at Union Hill School. After a couple of years, when there were enough students, I was moved to fourth grade. When Mr. Murphy retired, I was able to take my class of fabulous fourth grade students up to fifth grade. My current assignment has led me to teach third grade where I am enjoying learning right along with my students.

I grew up in Auburn, and I graduated from Placer High School (Go Hillmen!). I continued my education at Chico State University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and acquired my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. To further my education, I then attended Sacramento State University where I obtained my Master's Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

I live in Grass Valley with three very entertaining cats, Gracie Mae, Magic, and Betty. I adopted them as little tiny kittens ten years ago, and now there is never a dull moment in my house! They constantly show me how much they love me by bringing me mice, birds, bats, gophers, moles, and snakes. I also have a black lab named Stella and she love snacks, playing ball, and sleeping in the sun.
