Join us for the 2021 Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic Virtual Conference. This year's conference features multidisciplinary experts working in Georgia, across the United States, and internationally to combat child sexual abuse and trafficking.
Sarah Klein is an attorney, an advocate for victims of sexual abuse, and a former competitive gymnast. Sarah is also one of the first known victims of former Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Larry Nassar, and in July 2018, at the ESPYs, Sarah accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on behalf of herself and the hundreds of other survivors of Nassar’s sexual abuse. Prior recipients of the Ashe award include Nelson Mandela, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, and Robin Roberts.
The Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation (CEASE) Clinic at the University of Georgia School of Law is the first of its kind in the nation, representing survivors of child sexual abuse and the commercial and sexual exploitation of children in civil lawsuits and juvenile court dependency proceedings. The clinic not only provides direct representation to survivors, but also serves as a teaching center as part of the University of Georgia School of Law. CEASE also serves as a research, outreach, and education center, working with attorneys, social workers, service providers, and survivors nationwide.
