Nick Eriksen is from Sugar Grove, IL. He is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia, majoring in journalism with a minor in sports management. Nick is also a part of the Carmicle Sports Media Program and is graduating in the spring of 2026.
Before transferring to the University of Georgia, Nick attended Waubonsee Community College in the Chicago suburbs. During his time there, Nick paved the way for future sports media students by formulating positions in the athletic department to broadcast sports and control social media.
Currently, Nick works with SEC+ Network and Dawgvision, assisting in the production of UGA athletic events. He is also a broadcaster for the University of Georgia Ice Hockey Club and works with minor league baseball and hockey teams in Chicago. He is currently a sports reporter for the Red&Black and Oglethorpe Echo.
Nick knew he wanted to be a sports broadcaster since he was 5 years old. Len Kasper and Pat Foley, both longtime Chicago sports commentators, were his inspiration. He can still recall listening to his first Chicago Cubs game.
