Hi, my name is Jonas Broom and I am a second year journalism major at The University of Georgia. One of my biggest passions is music so I try to stay up to date on relevant trends in local music scenes. I also participate in UGA’s college radio station. There I am the Music Director so I facilitate club meetings, music reviews, maintain good relationships with promoters and my personal favorite; interviews. I plan on using both my experience within the radio station and from my studies as a journalism student to pursue a career in Music Media where I primarily hope to do a lot of on scene reporting. Whether that be writing for a blog, documenting on artists, or overseeing creating processes.When I am not doing school or club work I am usually checking out concerts, local places of interest, and restaurants (my favorite is Vietnamese). The news outlets I gravitate towards are AP News and the BBC!
