Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, I am now a recent grad from the University of Georgia studying journalism and international affairs with a minor in business.
This summer and fall I worked at CNN in Atlanta as a newsroom intern in the International Content Unit for CNN International. In this role, I wrote and produced news packages for CNN International show teams and assisted with editing SOTs and VOs for broadcast. I now freelance for CNN International as an Associate Producer.
In 2024, I interned with CNN’s field production and technical operations teams in Washington, D.C. I spent the first half of the internship shadowing control room and studio operators, gaining insight into the behind-the-scenes workflow of live broadcasts. In the second half, I worked alongside CNN photojournalists in the field, learning to operate professional camera equipment and helping produce live and recorded content for air.
In 2025, I studied at the University of Oxford, focusing on international law, European Union policy, terrorism, and global immigration systems. I wrote weekly essays detailing specific aspects of these fields and specifically on developing nation-wide solutions to disbanding domestic terrorist groups. The experience deepened my understanding of global affairs and sharpened my analytical thinking and research skills.
At UGA, I have contributed to the culture desk of The Red & Black, an independent student newspaper, where I reported on local events and organizations, conducted interviews, and wrote stories ranging from campus clubs to traveling game shows. I have also served as a technical director and team manager for Grady Newsource, UGA’s student-led broadcast program, training volunteers and leading the technical side of live productions.
Beyond that, I regularly pitched and produced stories for a weekly campus broadcast show and served as an associate producer for live coverage of the 2024 presidential election. I work as a freelance photographer and videographer during the school year. My passion for journalism began in high school, where I was editor-in-chief of the yearbook, an experience that sparked my interest in storytelling and community-focused reporting.
I’m passionate about broadcast news, live production, and impactful storytelling, and I hope to continue working in national newsrooms, ultimately as a producer committed to delivering compelling, reliable journalism.
