Be a pro
This is an ELECTIVE course- You are here because you want to learn about some facet of agriculture.
Abide by all school and classroom rules for tardies, language, clothing, cell phones
Be honest- cheating or plagiarism equals an immediate zero in addition to a parent meeting
Act like a champion
Give all substitutes the same respect as you give me…any discipline issues with a sub will be given double consequences when the instructor returns (a.k.a. a normal ½ hour detention is now 1 hour)
Be respectful to all classroom furniture and lab supplies- keep gum in your mouth or in the trash can, don’t vandalize by writing on it or breaking it
Respect the computers and technology
Respond to adversity; don’t react
Respect the instructor and your classmates- No student has the right to interfere with teaching or another student’s learning
Be on time. Being late means either it’s not important to you or you can’t be relied upon.
Be ready when the bell rings with your binders/notebook and supplies (pen/pencil/paper)
You have a buffer for assignments: All work (except quizzes, tests, or items needed as entrance for labs) may be turned into your class basket for full credit until 3 pm the day an assignment is due. So be smart and get your work in BEFORE it becomes late.
Go to the bathroom BEFORE class begins. As long as you ask permission before the bell rings you will not be marked tardy for class.
Execute. Do what you are supposed to do when you’re supposed to do it. Not almost. All the way. Not most of the time. All of the time.
It is YOUR responsibility to check with your classmates and instructors for notes and assignments from when you were absent
Check the bin on the tall table in the front of the room; there are hanging folders that correspond to each of the classes and the days of the week for papers that may have been handed out
If absent your work needs to be done according to the number of days you were excused absent. If you were gone for one day then you have one additional day to complete your work, 2 days=2 days, etc.
If you were unexcused absent or your work is LATE, you can complete your work for up to 50% of its original value.
Take ownership.

Whatever it takes. No excuses, no explanations.
