In response to the challenges of contemporary society and aligned with the fundamental principles of the Fernando Pessoa Foundation for continuous training and qualification of its professionals, we have developed the CECLIN project. This Innovation Center in the area of clinical trials at Fernando Pessoa Hospital was created with the aim of conducting both basic and clinical scientific research. The process not only keeps our professionals constantly updated but also explores ways to improve the quality of life of our patients.

Moreover, CECLIN has independent laboratory infrastructure and technical staff separate from the hospital's clinical laboratories, equipped to support a wide range of scientific disciplines. These include molecular cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, and immunology with privileged facilities for cellular and microbial cultures, advanced tissue processing, and immunocytochemistry, providing a robust environment for research and development.

The main mission of CECLIN is to promote the well-being of our patients, focusing on the enhancement of diagnostics and treatments for various pathologies that compromise a full life. The center operates through initiatives of Medical Innovation and specialized follow-up, centered on the needs of the patients.

This project involves collaboration with various companies in the sectors of Health Research and Innovation, pharmaceutical industry, and medical devices. Composed of professionals with extensive knowledge in the area, this partnership allows us to explore new solutions always aligned with the interests of our patients, ensuring good research practices in health.
