The Information Retrieval Laboratory (LabRI) is part of the Computer Science Department (DCC) of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). It was created in 2014 to support the development of research and applications in the area of ​​Information Retrieval.

LabRI aims to develop research in the area of ​​information retrieval, as well as apply it to solutions to real-world problems. The main research topics are: information extraction and treatment, data disambiguation, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, digital libraries, Web data collection, text mining, machine learning, social computing, recommender systems, and Web information systems.
