We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day and the water was clear enough to see a pod of friendly manatees who were very interested in our field work.

Our team travelled to Terra Ceia, Florida this week to practice sampling protocol, collect some water and soil samples, test out our field data collection sheet, and grab some bivalves!
Some of the next steps for us are creating a video that explains the steps for both soil and water sampling, and the lovely Gabi is working on testing out a method to measure nitrate levels in water that will greatly speed up the process.
