Above is the Rabbit and Poultry meeting. You can see a list of supplies that you should have for your chicken or poultry project as well as needed supplies to give your bird a bath before show time.

If you didn't get a chance to attend the goat and lamb meeting, we learned some fun facts about goats and lambs and the products that we use that come from them.

Drop your unopened jars of peanut butter off at the Extension office by November 25th so that we can help Escambia county. Escambia county was impacted with destructive wind and rain from Hurricane Sally and we want to help them while they rebuild their homes, work places and lives.

Please come to the extension office to pick up your record books and awards on the dates that coincide with your last name. If your last name begins with A - G, you may come to the extension office from November 4th through the 6th. If your last name begins with H - O, you may come to the extension office from November 9th - 12th. If your last name begins with P - Z, you may come to the extension office from November 12th - 16th.

We learned about Parliamentary procedure, Robert's Rules of Order and how to make a motion. We also learned that if you don't get a 2nd motion, the motion dies. There must be a quorum or majority for a vote to pass. Trail mix is super yummy!
We learned about how important community service learning projects are and different ideas for clubs and club members to participate. Check out the PowerPoint to see what a community service learning project is and see if you can come up with an idea to share with your club to participate.
We learned about competitive events and how there are many different categories that youth can enter a project into the Okeechobee County Fair. Visit www.okeechobeecountyfair.com to find out if you have something that you can enter in the fair.
With competition comes winning and losing. Check this out and see what kind of "Champion" you are. Do you have courage, integrity and motivation? What about the right attitude? We hope that you never give up on your goals.
