How to Join 4-H
September 1, 2025- August 30, 2026
Joining 4-H is easy and is limited only by age. Members may be as young as 5 years old or as old as 18 (or until completion of high school, whichever comes first). A member's age is determined by how old he or she will be on Sept. 1, the start of the Sept. 1–Aug. 31 program year.
Additionally, any youth classified as an "exceptional student" by the State Board of Education – per Florida Statute 1003.01(3)(a) – is eligible to participate in 4-H until the age of 21 (the upper age limit for national 4-H) or completion of high school, whichever comes first.
STEPS FOR YOUTH TO GET INVOLVED IN 4-H

Dear 4-H Families,
We are planning with optimism and excitement for the 2025-2026 4-H year. With your dedicated 4-H club leaders and volunteers, we are here and available to help every 4-H club grow and succeed moving forward. We will utilize this google site to post important files and keep you updated. We will continue to communicate through our Facebook page and 4honline email reminders that will also be updated here.
Enrollment for the 2025-2026 4-H year will be opening 4honline with the new school year! All youth, ages 5-18 (as of September 1st) will need to enroll to participate in 4-H events. Adults who will be volunteers with the 4-H program will need to enroll to begin the volunteer screening process. If you have been a member in the past, please re-enroll and do not create a new profile. If you are a new to 4-H member, follow the instruction sheet to create a profile. The 4-H youth development program is open to youth ages 5-18 as of 9/1/25 who have not yet graduated high school. We have something for everyone or we will work to create what you need.
Looking toward the new 4-H year!

The 4-H year introduced new activities to 4-H club life, virtual meetings including educational programs, different recreation opportunities, more opportunity for guest speakers and statewide participation. The success of the 4-H year was only possible with the dedication and support of the many volunteers and leaders who continually provided a safe place for youth to belong, socialize, and learn about their projects and were open to trying new things to keep kids engaged.
