4-H in School
One way that Florida 4-H exposes youth to hands-on learning experiences is through school enrichment. We believe that school enrichment is a partnership between Extension services and a school district to provide educational content in various subject areas. As a part of Extension, 4-H values its relationship with the schools and welcomes the opportunity to provide research-based curricula for classroom use. To discover more about 4-H School Enrichment, check out 4-H School Enrichment: A Guide for 4-H Faculty and Staff.
Bring the Day at the Capitol Experience to the Classroom
In an effort to connect 4-H educational opportunities to learning in the classroom, we have gone through this site and connected various components to Standards of Learning. Our hope is that by doing this, it will make it easier to connect the high quality youth development programming from Florida 4-H to classrooms across the state.
Below you will see the names of the pages available. When you click on the text, you will then see the Standards of Learning for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th grades, that we believe can be met by the various components on the page.
If you are interested in having your school youth experience Day at the Capitol, please contact your your local UF/IFAS Extension Office or FAMU Extension Office.
