EME4673: Introduction to Instructional Design
This course was intended as an overview of instructional design that produces results in an academic or training environment.
To answer the prompt, "What is your impression about the instructional design (ID) process? " I must admit that my impression of the ID process prior to taking the course was not the same as it was by the end of the course. I found the process tedious, time consuming, and over complicated.
However, when given the opportunity to create, to design for myself, another educator, an educational facility, or for a specific student, I found the process to be creative and the results effective.
In the future, I would appreciate the opportunity to learn from a variety of instructional designers operating in a variety of fields, in order to have a better perspective on the field of instructional design.
