Curious about your presentation time? The 2026 Symposium schedule is now available.
Presenter Information
Thank you for presenting at the UF College of Education Research Symposium 2026. This page provides important information to help presenters prepare for the symposium.
The symposium includes three presentation formats:
Paper Presentations
Roundtable Presentations
Poster Presentations
Please review the guidelines below to prepare for your session.
Paper Presentations
Paper presentations provide an opportunity to present an abbreviated version of a research study.
Presentation time
Each paper presentation is allocated 15 minutes total.
We recommend approximately:
10 - 12 minutes for presentation
2 - 3 minutes for questions
Slides
Presenters are encouraged to prepare presentation slides (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or PDF). To help sessions run smoothly, presenters should upload their slides in advance using the link below. Slides uploaded in advance will be available on the presentation computer during the symposium.
Slide upload
Please upload your presentation slides here by April 1st at 11:59 PM.
Backup option
Although advance upload is recommended, presenters may also bring a backup copy of their slides on a USB drive, personal laptop in case of technical issues.
Judging
A judge will attend each paper presentation and evaluate the session using a rubric that considers alignment with the symposium theme, relevance and impact, clarity and coherence, and overall quality of the presentation. If you do not wish for your presentation to be included in the judging process, please let us know by emailing us at the address listed below.
Roundtable Presentations
Roundtable presentations are designed for interactive discussion and feedback, particularly for work in progress or emerging ideas.
Session format
Each roundtable session is 15 minutes and will take place at a table with a small group of participants. Presenters are encouraged to briefly introduce their work and then engage attendees in discussion.
Possible presentation materials
Roundtable presenters may bring materials such as:
Short printed summaries of the project
Handouts or discussion prompts
A laptop or tablet to show slides or a demo
Research artifacts or prototypes
Visual materials to support discussion
The goal of the roundtable format is conversation and feedback, rather than a formal presentation.
Tables and seating will be provided.
Poster Presentations
Poster presentations will take place during the poster session in the Norman Hall Conference Center. The poster session will last 40 minutes, during which attendees will be able to walk around and interact with presenters.
Judging
A judge will also visit your poster during the session to ask questions and evaluate the session using a rubric that considers alignment with the symposium theme, relevance and impact, clarity and coherence, and overall quality of the poster. Presenters should be prepared to briefly discuss their research, including the purpose, methods, and key findings. If you do not wish for your poster to be included in the judging process, please let us know by emailing us at the address listed below.
Poster size
We recommend posters sized approximately: 36 × 48 inches (landscape orientation). Other similar academic poster sizes are also acceptable.
Printing
Presenters are responsible for printing their poster in advance. Color printing is strongly recommended. The closest large-format poster printing location to Norman Hall is in the School of Architecture, located at 1480 Inner Road. Or use the UF Printing Locations Map to find a location.
On-site setup
We will provide:
Easels
Poster boards
Clips or pins for mounting
Presenters are asked to arrive 10 minutes before the poster session begins to mount their posters. Please bring your printed poster and mount it on the assigned board before the session starts (assigned numbers can be found in the schedule). During the poster session, presenters should remain near their poster to discuss their work with attendees.
