4-H Club Management
Tools & resources to manage your club
4-H Club Leader Notebook
Club leaders are responsible for maintaining records. Set up a tabbed binder to keep these records in one location. Your 4-H Agent will ask you for certain records we have to report on and maintain.
The forms linked in the bulleted list will help you maintain records required for your county 4-H Association. Save the documents to your Google drive if you need to modify them, or want to fill them out online, or want to make copies as you need them.
Ask your 4-H Agent to assemble a 4-H Club Leader Notebook for you to get you started!
Tabs for your 4-H Club Leader Notebook:
Member enrollment/medical release records (request from your 4-H Agent)
Quality Checklist
Clover Feedback Form
Add additional tabs and documents specific to your club.
4-H Club Annual Plan
A key to successful club meetings and experiences is PLANNING. Writing a 4-H Club Annual Plan outlines a club's events and activities for the year. They should be done in the summer before the new 4-H year begins and should involve 4-H club leaders, volunteers, and officers.
Why should your club have an annual plan?
It helps ensure many 4-H members are involved rather than just a few members.
It makes pulling together monthly club meetings easier.
It helps 4-H officers take leadership over their club with less guidance.
4-Hers and parents have more time to prepare for activities and events.
Remember...your plan should be flexible and allow for dates to be changed if needed or filled in when more information is available.
Annual plans should include:
Monthly meetings held at the same place and time
Field trips, tours, and guest speakers
Fun, recreational activities for meetings and events
Community service
On-going projects spanning two months to an entire 4-H year
Activities that support project work like a judging team or competitive event
Fundraising
Opportunities for 4-Hers to exhibit their 4-H projects
Opportunities for 4-Hers to give a speech, demonstration , or illustrated talk about their 4-H projects
National 4-H Week celebrations
