Modern Mathematical Tools: Applications in Science and Engineering
Modern Mathematical Tools: Applications in Science and Engineering
This AMS/EMA (African Mathematical Schools / Ecoles Mathématiques Africaines) is:
an integral part of a long-term educational initiative aimed at advancing mathematical education and research; is intended to have an introductory Master level (but we will adapt according with the effective audience level) and to be a motivation to future studies in diverse mathematical areas, it incorporates both theoretical and practical perspectives by providing theory-based lectures or research talks, as well as their applied counterparts e.g. in the form of mini-projects that will take place throughout the duration of the school;
a preparation for a tentative CIMPA School to be held at Universidade Zambeze or Universidade Licungo (another on-going plan initiative for a long-term networking and cooperation programme between several European and African universities);
firmly committed with the UNESCO' Sustainable Development Goals policies, paying special attention to gender balance and environmental sustainability. In particular the school will run in a hybrid way (a number of lecturers and participants will be on-line) and only a limited number of on-site participants will be allowed to attend on-site for which a few grants are available (travel-accommodation-meals);
a CIMPA-AMU (Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées-African Mathematical Union) partnership school.
