ListServe

As you are aware UELMA started a listserve and added our conference members to it. There a few items about this:

  • Our normal / traditional mailing list (MailChimp) is cumbersome and time consuming to use. However, we will use it to send our newsletters and conference information. That list is generated by conference goers.

  • With all the current challenges and other timely conversations, we believe UELMA members needed to have a way to quickly communicate amongst ourselves.

  • The new list serve was created using the same conference list as a way for Utah Librarians and UELMA members to send quick and informative e-mails to keep abreast of local issues.

  • In the inaugural e-mail an explanation was sent as were instructions on how to remove yourself from the list.

Also please be patient with us managing it as it is new to us too!

Perhaps this is all new to you and you have not gotten any e-mails from uelma@lists.uen.org. If you have not please check your "junk" mail.

Some Listserve norms/rules

  1. When appropriate reply to all BUT be sure you want to send an e-mail to approximately 600 colleagues in the state.

  2. When appropriate Reply to the sender only.

  3. Please do not Reply All unless you want to

  4. Please do not Reply All to ask to be removed. It is quite simple to remove yourself using the link.

  5. Keep in mind we would love to have stay informed and converse with your colleagues.
