Abstract
We define probability, conditional probability, and the Bayes’ Rule. Next, we present the description and parameters of random variables, all within the context of MATLAB. We introduce demo programs to show characteristics, linear transformation, the sum of Gaussian random variables, and the Central Limit Theorem. We then move on to statistics and answer the question of the relation between probability, random variables, and statistics, all with practical examples in MATLAB. Test statistics, Hypothesis testing, and Estimation are elaborated and illustrated with examples in MATLAB. The following are detailed Regression techniques. Finally, an introduction to Machine Learning and some Machine Learning methods are described.
