Audition Info:

As per the initial letter, the auditions for honors orchestra are scheduled for Wednesday NOVEMBER 5, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The auditions will be held in the PAC @ UDHS. Please enter the building at the PAC entrance off of Loch Alsh Avenue. All students are to report to the orchestra room, A61 upon arrival. Students will be directed to the appropriate audition rooms after tuning and warm in room A61.

The music for the audition is enclosed. Be sure to practice everything.

The audition playing time is approximately five minutes. Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled time to tune and to warm up. Teachers and UDHS students will be on hand to assist you with tuning.

The audition times are listed below. If your scheduled time is impossible to attend, you must notify Mrs. Herrmann at voice-mail 215-643-8900 ext. 2061, or e-mail vherrman@udsd.org to arrange another time slot on that same evening. The only time that these auditions occur is the evening of November 5, 2014. Each instrument part will audition in a separate room. The person evaluating your audition will hear you only, not see you. The membership of the Honors Orchestra 2014-15 is limited, and therefore is determined solely upon the results of the auditions on this evening.

HONORS ORCHESTRA TOUR OF UDSD ELEM. SCHOOLS

WEDNESDAY MAY 30, 2018

On May 30, 2018, the Honors Orchestra students will perform at each of the UDSD elementary schools. Students will be transported to and from these schools by school bus. The concert dress is black pants or skirts and the Honors Orchestra T-Shirt. The students will be excused from school to do all four performances, however, they are to be prepared to work at school as of 1:50 PM. Lunch is at Nick’s Pizzeria in the Dreshertown Shopping Center. The cost of lunch and payment for school district bus transportation for the day is $10.00 cash—to be included with the permission slip to be signed and returned by each parent/student.

7:30 AM--ALL STUDENTS ARRIVE VIA OWN TRANSPORTATION AT MAPLE GLEN ELEMENTARY AUDITORIUM FOR REHEARSAL.

9:00 AM—CONCERT AT MGES

9:40 AM—LEAVE ON SCHOOL BUS FOR FWES

10:00 AM—CONCERT AT FWES

10:40 AM—LEAVE FOR LUNCH AT NICK’S PIZZERIA

11:00 AM—LUNCH AT NICK’S PIZZERIA
