In October 2025, during a public event at the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science, we demonstrated the Meissner effect using a high-temperature superconducting puck and a magnetic track. When cooled with liquid nitrogen, the puck levitated above the track, offering an engaging, visual introduction to superconductivity.
In November 2025, we set up a table at the Perkins Student Center to educate the public about quantum science and technology. Through demonstrations of various quantum phenomena such as atomic spectral lines, nanomagnetic spin ice arrays, and photonic quantum chips, passersby from any level were able to experience quantum in real life and understand key quantum concepts on-the-go.
