at the CCCC Convention in Pittsburgh, PA
Teacher to Teacher (T2T), is a Saturday forum designed to celebrate writing pedagogy and the teaching of writing. In its second year, T2T invites literacy educators to come together for conversation on practice. T2T is committed to fostering conversations that celebrate a diverse range of experiences: full-time and part-time faculty, graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, tutors, and peer mentors, and aspiring educators; colleagues representing secondary, two-year, and four-year institutional homes; colleagues who engage writers in brick-and-mortar, online, or multiple spaces; educators who teach writing in spaces and who represent identities and relationships to teaching writing beyond the writing classroom or a formal educational setting. Acceptance to this Saturday event will be an official speaking role during the CCCC convention.
This event is "speed-teaching" where table presenters talk about their teaching ideas for 5-7 minutes each, followed by 10-15 minutes of discussion. Every 25 minutes attendees can move to another table. Each session (morning and afternoon) have four rounds of these presentations, so everyone walks out of the room with an arm- and head-full of innovative teaching ideas.
