PhD Student, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Hi! I'm a 2nd year PhD Candidate in Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware. I was inspired to start SciPAC because of my past involvement with the Johns Hopkins Science Policy and Diplomacy Group (SDPG) in undergrad, and my internship experience at ACEEE where I worked with the Department of Energy to roll out a roadmap for industrial de-fossilization. My PhD research is focused on multi-scale modeling of soft matter (e.g. polymers, lipids, colloids, etc.)!

Hi! I am a PhD Candidate in UD CBE with a deep interest in engineering education and science policy. Clear communication based on solid evidence and rigorous logic are critical for impactful science advocacy. I aim to leverage the experience I gained through teaching fellowships, research presentations at national conferences, and federal grant proposal writing for the development of communication workshops that will help strengthen our community's voice.
PhD Student, Quantum Science and Engineering
Hi! I am a 1st-year Quantum Science and Engineering PhD student at the University of Delaware; I mainly work on quantum material growth techniques and applications in Quantum Computing in the Material Science and Engineering Department at UD. I have been an Egyptian international student in the U.S. since 2022, and my interest in science policy and its influence on the government, society, and the world has always been of great interest to me, especially the recent ongoing national efforts towards Quantum Science and Technologies. I am also the Science Diplomacy Coordinator in UD’s Science Policy group.
