Mysteries and Histories, Fall 2022
Rebecca Worley
Course Description
Mysteries and historical novels, two popular genres among avid readers, are written within a context, a specific time, place, and culture, like early 20th century America or colonial Australia. But novels also have a context within the author's personal history and a specific literary tradition. For this course, we will read and discuss mysteries and historical novels within their specific cultural and literary contexts.
Course Format
This course is offered in both an online Zoom section and an in-person section at Arsht Hall.
