To encourage CCI Undergraduates to participate in research early.
As a course (ITSC 2990/3990).
We will authorize you to register for the course.
All the participants will be paired with a faculty member and join their real research projects.
Midterm Project Proposal.
Final Poster Session.
Day-to-day efforts.
Participations.
The workload is self-paced and similar to a typical 3-credit-hour course. This means that you should be prepared to meet with your mentor at least once a week for 30 minutes. Afterwards, you should expect to spend between 9 and 15 hours a week working on your course project. Research progress is hard to predict, so it is important to have sufficient time to dedicate to your project to achieve your expected outcome.
Fill out this Google Form to apply (deadline April 24): https://forms.gle/CcENoJ5kmv9kT5bj9
Attend (mandatory!) one of the two in-person information sessions (at WWH 237 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on April 23 and April 24)
Sign up (will be shared after info sessions) to talk with our TA (April 29 and April 30)
Receive an Email from TA to confirm your registration
Since our interview procedure starts late and takes time, we suggest that you still register for other Fall 2024 courses. You can adjust your schedule after you receive an email from us indicating that you are authorized to register.
It depends on the faculty members. Here are some projects we did before:

Project 3: Analysis and Visualization of Execution Tracing of Parallel Program!
Project 4: Parallel Programming Models and Compiler based on OpenMP!
Project 5: Medical image processing using ML/DL!
Project 6: Visualization Site for Job Trace Analysis!
