The Civic Engagement Certificate Program offers a series of seminars and reflection that trains students in use-inspired, problem-solving research and action in cooperation with civic groups. Seminars will also cultivate career-readiness skills that transfer seamlessly from the community learning space into the world. This certificate program will encourage students to build relationships across campus or outside of campus in leadership opportunities. The certificate is a Co-Curricular Record (CCR) activity which will be developed on an official CCR transcript. Over the course of 30 hours, students will engage in civic engagement seminars (synchronous/asynchronous), pre and post seminar assignments, and civic field experience.
