We are happy to announce that 2019 Sociology Graduate Conference, themed "Sociology and Society: What We Learn and What We Give", will be held on Friday, May 17 in Social Science Building 101. This year's conference is designed to be practical: on the one hand, we will have panels on practical issues such as what sociology can do for the world and how sociology faces challenges from outside of the ivory tower; on the other hand, we provide multiple opportunities for advancing the professional skills such as paper presentations and methods roundtables. Please see the agenda below or go to the pages Program and Participants for more details.
We cordially welcome graduate students from all disciplines as well as faculty members, undergraduate students, and friends who are interested. Food will be provided throughout the day, so please RSVP here. If you have any questions, please contact ucsdsocgradcommittee@gmail.com.
