Day 19: (Friday) 7/26/24
Friday was another day of working on our final projects. We faced multiple minor problems such as a lack of the specific materials necessary to build our projects. Although there were some difficulties, we were able to relax in the evening. The RA's had planned a movie night for Friday's activities, so Cluster 9 was able to enjoy the movie (Inside Out) with snacks and friends.
Day 20: (Saturday) 7/27/24
Saturday was a relaxing day which we spent doing laundry, playing games, and taking trips to target and other stores. Saturday's activity was the annual Cosmos tradition - a Carnival! Cosmos students participated in face painting, Jenga, a raffle, and carnival games. The winners of the raffle happened to be two Cluster 9 students, who won a camera and a sewing machine.
Day 21: (Sunday) 7/28/24
Sunday was a lot like Saturday; it was another day of relaxing, laundry, and games and trips. Sunday's evening activity was another Cosmos tradition - the Cosmos dance! This year's theme was Under the Sea, and students had a great time drinking mocktails, dancing to their favorite songs, getting fake tattoos, and taking pictures with their friends in the photo booth.
Day 22: (Monday) 7/29/24
Monday meant more final projects. Some groups went to the Envision Lab to start and try to build their design, while others stayed in the classroom and worked on prgoramming in Max MSP, Ableton Live, and Arduino IDE. Monday's evening activity was yet another Cosmos tradition - the talent show! Many people from Cluster 9 showed off their musical abilities, such as singing, playing a musical instrument and even composing an original piece.
Day 23: (Tuesday) 7/30/24
Tuesday was another fun day of working on our projects. Some groups went to the Envision Lab again, and most groups were programming and building their projects.
Day 24: (Wednesday) 7/31/24
More final projects! Today was the second to last day we had to work on our projects. We also took a mini field trip to visit the Falling Star, which is 1 of 22 art pieces from the Stuart Art Collection. The Falling Star is a tilted house, placed half on/half off the roof of the Jacobs School of Engineering. We went back to class after visiting the Falling Star, and spent more time working and finishing up our projects.
Day 25: (Thursday) 8/1/24
Thursday was the final day we had to work on our project. In the morning, Cluster 9 put the finishing touches on our final project and practiced for our final presentation. In the afternoon, our teacher fellow recorded our presentation to send to our parents, and we spent the rest of the time experimenting with our projects, playing piano, and singing together
