How It Works?

Our system uses a custom-built trigger circuit with a 555 timer to generate a synchronized pulse, which activates both the Grass Stimulator and the CuriBio Cytostretcher simultaneously. The Grass Stimulator delivers electrical field stimulation to the cardiac cells via wires held in place by the 3D printed holsters inside the Cytostretcher chamber and the wells. Meanwhile, the Cytostretcher provides mechanical stretching. Together, these synchronized electrical and mechanical cues mimic native heart conditions, promoting the maturation of hiPSC-derived Cardiomyocytes and enabling more physiologically relevant in-vitro cardiac models.
