How the club got started.
The founding of SACNAS, depicted in the top left of this artwork we commissioned for our 2011 conference from local indigenous artist Sol Aquino.
Vision: Achieving True Diversity in STEM. #TrueDiversity means that the field (including leadership positions) accurately and proportionately reflects the demographics of the population.
Mission: SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.
We provide students and professionals the opportunities and resources they need to advance in their education and careers through: Chapters, Conference, Leadership Programs, Native American Programs, Professional Programs, Webinars
Among 8,296 National SACNAS Members: 8% Biomedical, 8% Chemistry, 7% Engineering, 33% Life Sciences, 5% Mathematics.
