Miniaturized Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) Chamber to Densify Biomedical Implants
Miniaturized Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) Chamber to Densify Biomedical Implants
There is an urgent need to design a miniaturized Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) chamber for our parent company, SpiTrex Orthopedics. This innovation is essential for advancing 3D printed medical implant additive manufacturing processes. Future work could focus on optimizing pressure vessel design to achieve higher safety factors, further researching and implementing HIP heating, cooling, and auxiliary systems, and developing an automated HIP cycle using a control system based on our foundational theoretical simulation.
