I'm a final year Ph.d. candidate at University of California, San Diego, Department of Mathematics and Center for Engineered Natural Intelligence. I'm very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Gabriel Silva and Prof. Bo Li. Before grad school, I was an undergrad research assistant at Pennsylvania State University, and I was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Xiantao Li.

News: I won the Outstanding Teaching Scholar Award for the UCSD Summer Graduate Teaching Scholars (SGTS) program! I was one of six recipients university wide for the contribution to undergraduate education. link
We study emergence and emergent abilities in machine learning and neural systems using mathematics.
We are opening the new machine learning research paradigm of emergence promoting architecture/algorithm design for machine learning and large language models.
I study these through the tools of homological algebra, network theory, geometry and information theory
