For my CAD I decided to create a minion. I did this because I think minions are very cute and I really like the Despicable Me movies. An added bonus was that the acrylic I would be cutting was yellow, which is the same color as the minions. Though the pallets and the escapement wheel were fixed, we were given the freedom to design the rest of our pendulum. While looking for an image to trace fpr my design, I originally wanted to do one where a minion had his hand in the air, bur realized that the design would cause the pendulum to be asymmetrical. I had to trade that image for another where the minion was simply standing, which assured that my design would be symmetric.
